How Traders Use QuantPower: Illustrative Scenarios

The QuantPower case studies on this page are illustrations, not customer stories. Each shows, with sample data, how a type of trader might set up QuantPower, and none includes names, results or performance figures.

Key point
Every scenario is an illustration with sample values, not a real customer. We do not publish customer results, because past and simulated results do not predict future ones.

The strategies in these illustrations are explained in our trading strategies guides. Customer stories will be added here only with the customers' permission.

Illustration 1: an intraday Nifty option seller

Who: a part-time trader who cannot watch the screen all morning.

Setup (sample values):

  • The short straddle strategy in the strategy builder: sell the at-the-money call and put at 9:20, one lot each.
  • A stop loss on each leg, a 15:15 time exit and an MTM stop loss on the account.
  • A backtest with costs, then two weeks of paper trading.

Daily checks: the daily broker login, margin for both legs and the order book after entry.

Illustration 2: a TradingView chart trader

Who: a trader who wants an order placed when a TradingView alert fires.

Setup (sample values):

  • Signal trading linked to an alert on the Nifty chart that buys one lot of an at-the-money option, with a fixed stop loss.
  • An MTM stop loss on the account, so a noisy indicator cannot run up losses unchecked.

Daily checks: every alert has a matching order, and the broker login is done before the open.

Illustration 3: a manual trader testing a rule

Who: a trader who trades a moving average crossover on stock futures by hand.

Setup (sample values):

Checks: the gap between backtest and paper results, and how many trades the rules take.

Illustration 4: a long-term investor

Who: an investor who buys stocks and ETFs and does not want to watch prices.

Setup (sample values):

  • A monthly stock SIP in an index ETF through their own broker account.
  • Price alerts on a short watchlist, and an iceberg order to split a larger buy.

Checks: that each SIP order filled and that funds are ready for the next one.

Frequently asked questions

Are these QuantPower case studies about real customers?

No. Each scenario is an illustration built from common setups, with sample values. QuantPower does not publish customer results.

Why does this page show no returns?

Past and simulated results do not predict future results, and SEBI bars brokers from referring to an algo's past or expected returns. We show how the tools are set up instead.

Can I try one of these setups myself?

Yes. Each scenario uses features that are in the platform, so you can build the same setup and run it in paper trading first. Results with real money will differ from any illustration.

Why are the traders in these scenarios not named?

Because they are illustrations, not customers. Each one shows a common way of using QuantPower, with sample values instead of real results.

These are illustrations, not customer results or recommendations. Trading involves substantial risk, and past or simulated results do not predict future results.
