Partner with QuantPower

The QuantPower partner programme is for authorised persons (APs) of brokers, SEBI-registered research analysts and investment advisers, and educators who teach trading without return claims. Partners introduce QuantPower to their clients and audiences, and each person they introduce runs it on their own broker account. This page covers who can join, what partners may and may not say, and how to apply.

Key point
Partners introduce software, not trades. No partner may promise returns, call QuantPower "SEBI-approved" or handle a client's logins.

Who can join

Partner typeWhat you need
Authorised person (AP)Registration as an AP with the exchange, through your broker
Research analyst (RA)SEBI registration as a research analyst
Investment adviser (IA)SEBI registration as an investment adviser
Educator or content creatorTeaching content with no return claims, trade calls or tips
RemisierIntroduces clients, who then sign up with QuantPower directly
ResellerA business that sells QuantPower plans to its own customers and supports them

These limits follow SEBI's rules. Since 2024, SEBI-regulated entities, including the brokers QuantPower connects to, may not associate with anyone who gives advice without registration or makes claims of returns. Since September 2022, brokers have also been barred from referring to the returns of an algo, or associating with platforms that do. Holding partners to the same standard protects the clients they introduce.

What partners may say

Stick to facts that clients can check:

  • QuantPower is trading software for building, testing and running your own strategy rules.
  • Orders go from your own broker account through the broker's official API, with your own API key, from a static IP registered with your broker, after the broker's daily login with two-factor authentication.
  • Funds and securities stay with your broker. QuantPower is not a broker or an adviser, and it gives no tips or calls.
  • The QuantPower Standard plan is free during the Beta (₹299/month after); Professional is ₹499/month and Ultimate ₹999/month, GST extra. See pricing.
  • Backtests and paper trading are simulations and do not predict live results.
  • Trading involves substantial risk.

What partners may not say or do

  • Promise or imply returns. No profit figures, win rates, P&L screenshots or backtest returns, and no words such as "guaranteed", "risk-free" or "assured".
  • Claim approval. Do not describe QuantPower as "SEBI-approved", "SEBI-registered", "NSE-approved" or "empanelled", or its strategies as "approved". SEBI does not approve trading software.
  • Mix in trade calls. Do not pair QuantPower with tips or calls. RAs and IAs keep their research and advice separate, under their own registration.
  • Handle logins. Never log in to a client's broker or QuantPower account, or ask for passwords, OTPs, authenticator codes or API keys.
  • Trade for clients. Each client runs QuantPower on their own account. Our guide to algo trading for sub brokers explains why.
  • Offer your own algo. An algo you built is for you and your immediate family. Offering it to clients needs empanelment as an algo provider.
  • Speak for QuantPower. Do not present yourself as QuantPower staff or make promises on its behalf.

Partner terms

Remisier20% for every client referred
Reseller70%

The share is a percentage of the subscription fee each client pays for their own plan. Terms for other partner types, and when shares are paid, are shared in writing when an application is accepted. Frequently asked questions

Is the partner programme open to anyone?

No. It is for APs, SEBI-registered research analysts and investment advisers, and educators who make no return claims.

Can a partner manage trades for clients?

No. Each client runs QuantPower on their own broker account with their own login. Deciding trades for clients needs SEBI registration as a portfolio manager.

Can partners share backtest results with their audience?

Not to promote QuantPower. Backtests are simulations, and quoting their returns is a return claim. Show how the tools work with sample data instead.

Do educators need SEBI registration to join?

Not to teach how markets and tools work. Giving investment advice or recommendations needs SEBI registration as an investment adviser or research analyst.

How should partners describe QuantPower?

As trading software that connects to the client's own broker account through the broker's official API. It is not a broker or an adviser, and SEBI does not approve trading software.
