How KYC Verification Works with QuantPower

This page explains KYC verification for QuantPower users: who checks your identity, and what QuantPower itself checks. QuantPower is trading software, not a broker, so your KYC is done by your broker under SEBI's KYC rules.

Key point
QuantPower verifies only your mobile number and email address. It never asks for your broker password, broker or bank OTPs, or bank PINs.

1. Your broker does your KYC

Full KYC verification is your broker's job. To trade on Indian exchanges you need a trading and demat account with a SEBI-registered stockbroker. The broker verifies your identity under SEBI's KYC rules when you open the account, using your PAN, Aadhaar-based eKYC or other documents, and records your KYC with a KYC registration agency (KRA).

QuantPower does not collect KYC documents or repeat these checks, and it is not a KYC registration agency. Your KYC record stays with your broker and the KRA.

2. What QuantPower verifies

You do not need to give us your PAN, Aadhaar or bank account details to open a QuantPower account.

When you connect a broker, you log in on the broker's own page with the broker's two-factor authentication. That check is your broker's, not ours, and it means only the account holder can connect the account. Our broker connection requirements list what else you need, such as your own API key and, unless your broker hosts QuantPower in its own infrastructure, a static IP address registered with your broker.

3. What QuantPower never asks for

QuantPower and its staff will never ask you for:

  • your broker password, PIN or two-factor codes,
  • OTPs from your broker, your bank or UIDAI (Aadhaar), or
  • your bank, debit card or UPI PIN, net banking password or card CVV.

You type QuantPower's own sign-up OTP only into the QuantPower website or app; our team will never ask you to read it out on a call, by email or on WhatsApp. You enter payment details only on our payment partner's checkout page.

4. When we may ask for more

  • Account recovery: proof that the account is yours, if you lose access to your mobile number or email.
  • Partner payouts: if we pay you through our partner programme, the details needed to pay you and meet tax rules, such as your PAN and bank account.
  • Legal requests: details that a regulator, a court or another authority requires under the law.

We ask only for what is needed and handle it under our privacy policy.

5. One account per person

A QuantPower account is for one person, and the broker account you connect must be in your own name. We may close accounts that use someone else's details or broker account.

6. Report suspicious requests

  • Use only the official website quantpower.tech and the QuantPower app on Google Play.
  • If someone claiming to be from QuantPower asks for a password, OTP or PIN, do not share it. Tell us at [email protected] or on +91 97111 30044.
  • If you shared your broker login details by mistake, change your broker password and contact your broker at once.
