Where to start
- Before an F&O trade: the F&O margin calculator estimates the margin blocked, the brokerage calculator adds STT, exchange charges, stamp duty and GST, and the Nifty expiry date calendar shows each expiry.
- Options positions: the option profit calculator shows what a single or multi-leg position makes or loses at each expiry price; the Nifty option chain guide explains open interest, PCR and the Greeks.
- Sizing a trade: the position size calculator turns your risk per trade and stop loss into shares or lots; the risk reward ratio calculator compares the loss to your stop with the gain to your target.
- Reviewing a strategy: the max drawdown calculator, Sharpe ratio calculator and slippage calculator measure falls, risk-adjusted return and execution cost from your own figures.
- Long-term planning: the SIP calculator estimates what a regular SIP could grow to at the rate you assume.

Frequently asked questions
Are the trading calculators on this page free to use?
Yes. The calculators, option chain guides, expiry calendar and testers listed here are free. The option chain, strategy builder and backtesting inside the QuantPower platform come with the paid plans.
Which tools should I use before placing an F&O trade?
Check margin with the F&O margin calculator, the full cost with the brokerage calculator and the size with the position size calculator. For options, the option profit calculator shows the result at each expiry price before you trade.
Are the results from these tools exact?
No. They are estimates from your inputs. Margin is set by the exchange and your broker when you place the order, charges change when SEBI, the exchanges or the government revise them, and Black–Scholes gives a theoretical value, not a market price.
Can these tools backtest a strategy?
No. The testers measure figures you supply, such as a series of returns or two price histories. To run complete rules over past data, use backtesting in the QuantPower platform, then paper trade before going live.
